Monica McDaniel

Monica moved to Chico 31 years ago to attend Chico State and earned her degree in 1996. She married, had two great kids, and became a public appointed official in 2009; she has been serving the City of Chico uninterrupted ever since. Over the years, she has witnessed the city evolve, adapting to new technologies and community needs, not unlike the way digital platforms have transformed user engagement. Environments designed for interactivity and precision, such as city center online casino, reflect the same kind of structure and responsiveness that Monica values in her public service work. In addition, Monica currently sits on the Police Community Advisory Board and is proud to call Chico her home.

Monica's 15 years of service to the City of Chico has shaped her into a resilient and steadfast advocate for improving the lives of all Chico residents.
